THE $1 RESERVATION

What is the $1 reservation for?
Three things: first, you're guaranteed a spot in line before the campaign opens to the public. Second, VIP reservers get exclusive early-bird pricing on our Premium Core and Boozy Edition tiers — $5 and $8 off respectively — only accessible via a private link sent on launch day, October 6th. Third, for our Collector's Edition (capped at 125 total units, 50 reserved for VIPs), your reservation guarantees access to that first allocation before it opens publicly. The $1 is non-refundable and goes toward supporting the campaign's development — it does not apply as a credit toward your pledge.


Does the $1 lock in a specific tier?
No. The $1 reserves your spot in line. You choose your tier — and any add-ons — when the campaign opens through Kickstarter's Pledge Manager. Early-bird slots are limited per tier, so reserving now ensures you have first access before they fill.


Can I get my $1 back if I change my mind?
The $1 reservation is non-refundable. It exists to confirm genuine interest and hold your early-bird spot. If you decide not to back the campaign when it launches, your spot simply goes to the next person in line.


What happens to my $1 if the campaign doesn't fund?
The $1 reservation is separate from your Kickstarter pledge. If the campaign does not reach its funding goal, no Kickstarter charges are processed. The $1 reservation fee is non-refundable regardless of campaign outcome.


Do I have to back on Kickstarter if I paid the $1?
No. The $1 holds your early-bird spot but does not obligate you to pledge. When the campaign launches, you'll receive a direct link to back at your chosen tier. If you choose not to, your spot opens up for the next person.


How will I know when the campaign goes live?
You'll receive an email the moment the campaign opens — before it's announced anywhere else. That's the point of reserving early. Make sure [email protected] is in your contacts so it doesn't land in spam.

When does the Kickstarter campaign launch?
October 6, 2026 at 9:00 AM EST. The countdown on this page is your real-time clock.


What happens if the campaign doesn't reach its funding goal?
Kickstarter is all-or-nothing. If the campaign doesn't fund, no pledges are charged and no product ships. We'd reassess and relaunch. That said, every $1 reservation and every early backer increases the odds of hitting the goal on day one — which is exactly why we're building this list now.


What is the funding goal?
We're targeting $23,000. This covers the minimum production run needed to manufacture Reckless Recall at the quality and quantities promised across all four tiers. Shipping is calculated and charged separately after the campaign, so this number reflects the product itself. Follow us on Instagram or sign up below to stay in the loop.


Will there be stretch goals?
Yes. Stretch goals will unlock additional components and features beyond the base campaign. Details will be revealed as the campaign builds momentum. Sign up to stay in the loop.


Can I back at a higher tier than I reserved for?
Yes. The $1 reserves your early-bird access — not a specific tier. When the campaign opens, you can pledge at any tier you'd like, subject to availability. Higher tiers have fewer early-bird slots, so don't wait.


Will you offer bundles? If so, what are they?
Yes. Several bundles are available with this campaign. See the full lineup on our Tiers page. Full bundle details will be revealed when the campaign launches October 6.


Will the Riot Grid ever be available on its own?
Not at launch. The Riot Grid — our 36"×26" quad-fold play board — ships exclusively inside three pledge options: The Grid Bundle, The Game Night Bundle, and The Reckless Host Kit. We're not selling it standalone yet because of manufacturing costs at low order volume. Once combined orders across those three options reach 100 units, we'll open the Riot Grid as a standalone add-on for every backer, at any pledge level — including anyone who already backed. We'll announce it the moment it happens. This isn't tied to our stretch goals or total funding — it's a manufacturing threshold, so it can unlock regardless of how the overall campaign is trending.


Can I get a refund if I change my mind about my pledge?
Pledges can be increased, decreased, or canceled at any time while the campaign is live — just edit or cancel your pledge directly on Kickstarter before the campaign ends. Once the campaign closes successfully and payment is collected, all pledges are final. Kickstarter is not a storefront; backing a campaign means supporting the creation of a new game, not pre-ordering a finished retail product, and per Kickstarter's terms, refunds after a campaign closes are entirely at the creator's discretion. We're committed to delivering a great game and being transparent throughout production — if something goes wrong on our end, reach out and we'll work with you to make it right.


Can I return my game after I receive it?
All sales are final once your reward ships. Reckless Recall is a custom-manufactured product made specifically for this campaign, and we don't offer a standard return policy the way a retail store would. If you receive a defective or damaged item, contact us at [email protected] — we want every backer to have a working game and will handle quality issues case by case. This policy doesn't apply to dissatisfaction with the game's content: Reckless Recall is an 21+ adult party game with mature themes, drinking mechanics, and intimate content as described on this page — please review the full game overview before backing.

THE GAME

Is Reckless Recall for adults only?
Yes. Reckless Recall is designed for players 21 and older. The game combines drinking mechanics with mature card content — it is explicitly an adult experience and is not suitable for anyone under 21.
Don't drink? You can substitute any consequence you'd like for the alcohol - the game works either way. But the 21+ age requirement stands regardless.

What are the expansions and what do they include?
Two expansions are planned: After Dark and Last Call. Each adds a new set of cards that integrate directly into the base deck — no separate game needed. Expansion details will be announced during the campaign. Higher tiers include expansion content built into their deck.


How many players does Reckless Recall support?
Reckless Recall plays best with 3 to 8 players. Two players can play but the social dynamic is at its best with a full table.


How long does a typical game take?
A full game runs approximately 2-3 hours - long enough for things to get interesting. It all depends on player count and how often the Sudden Death phase gets brutal. The Quick Game variant brings it down to 30 minutes or under.


Where can I find the full rules?
The complete and most current rulebook is available at rules.recklessrecall.com. A QR code is also printed inside the Tiers 1-3 boxes for quick access during game night.


Is there a non-drinking version of the game?
Reckless Recall is designed as a drinking game — that's the experience it's built around. The mechanics, card content, and overall feel are crafted specifically for that context. If drinking isn't your thing, this probably isn't your game.

SHIPPING & FULFILLMENT

When does Reckless Recall ship?
Estimated ship date is April 2027, following the close of the campaign and production. Backers will receive regular updates throughout the production process so you always know where things stand.


What carrier will you use?
Carrier varies by tier and pledge, since we've optimized each one for cost and package safety at its specific weight class. Domestically: Core Game and Premium Core ship via Priority Mail Flat Rate, so the price stays consistent no matter your zone. Boozy Edition and the Grid/Game Night Bundles ship via USPS Ground Advantage. Any pledge that includes glassware — Collector's Edition, the Bar Set, and the Reckless Host Kit — ships via UPS Ground for extra protection in transit. Internationally, we select the carrier per destination to get the best mix of cost and speed; we'll confirm carrier details for your specific pledge at fulfillment.


How long will delivery take once the game ships?
Domestic transit time depends on your tier: Priority Mail and Ground Advantage shipments typically arrive within 2–5 business days, and UPS Ground (glassware-inclusive pledges) typically arrives within 5 business days. Alaska and Hawaii ship via Priority Mail rather than Ground Advantage to keep delivery times reasonable. International delivery times vary by destination and will be communicated at fulfillment.


Where do you ship to?
We ship to the US, Canada, and a wide range of other countries — availability depends on your pledge.>> Core Game (T1) ships within the US only.
>> Most other tiers ship internationally to a broad set of destinations.
>> Bundles with glassware or the Riot Grid have a narrower international footprint, due to shipping cost and protective packaging at that size.For countries outside our primary tested list, we use "Rest of World" pricing rather than a country-by-country rate. Your exact shipping cost and eligibility will be confirmed for your specific pledge in the Pledge Manager after the campaign — before anything is charged.


Do you ship internationally?
Yes, for most tiers. Premium Core, Boozy Edition, and Collector's Edition all ship to a range of international destinations. Core Game (T1) is US-only. Some bundles and add-on combinations — including ones with glassware or the Riot Grid — have a narrower international footprint because of added shipping cost and protective packaging at that size. Exact availability by tier and bundle will be listed on the campaign page, and confirmed again for your pledge in the Pledge Manager.


Will I be charged for shipping on top of my pledge?
Yes. Shipping is collected separately through Kickstarter's Pledge Manager after the campaign closes. Shipping costs vary by tier and destination and will be clearly disclosed before you confirm your pledge.

ORDERS & BILLING

Can I change or cancel my Kickstarter pledge after the campaign ends?
During the campaign you can change or cancel your pledge at any time before the campaign closes. After the campaign ends, changes are handled through the Pledge Manager during the survey window. Cancellations after the campaign closes are subject to Kickstarter's standard policies.

How does the Pledge Manager work after the campaign?
After the campaign closes, all backers receive a survey through Kickstarter's native Pledge Manager. This is where you confirm your tier, select add-ons, provide your shipping address, and pay for shipping. Instructions will be sent to the email address on your Kickstarter account.


Will my payment information be secure?
Yes. All payments are processed by Kickstarter and Stripe, both of which use industry-standard encryption. We never store your card details directly.


What currency will the campaign run in?
The campaign runs in US dollars. International backers will be charged in USD — your bank or card provider handles the currency conversion.


Who will the charge appear as on my card statement?
Your statement will show Simply Young LLC, the company behind Reckless Recall.

1. About This Site
This website is operated by Simply Young LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), a Tennessee limited liability company doing business as Reckless Recall. By accessing this site or making a reservation, you agree to these terms.


2. The $1 VIP Reservation
The $1 reservation fee is a non-refundable payment that secures your place as a VIP early-bird backer ahead of the Reckless Recall Kickstarter campaign launching October 6, 2026. By completing a reservation you acknowledge and agree to the following:The $1 fee is non-refundable under any circumstances, including if you choose not to back the campaign, if the campaign does not reach its funding goal, or if the campaign is delayed or cancelled.The $1 reservation does not constitute a purchase of any product. No goods or services are delivered in exchange for the reservation fee.The $1 reservation does not lock in a specific campaign tier. Tier selection occurs through Kickstarter's Pledge Manager after the campaign launches.Early-bird pricing and access are not guaranteed solely by reservation — they are subject to slot availability at the time you pledge on Kickstarter.
Reservations are non-transferable and limited to one per person.


3. The Kickstarter Campaign
The Reckless Recall Kickstarter campaign is an independent crowdfunding campaign subject to Kickstarter's own terms and policies at kickstarter.com/terms-of-use. Simply Young LLC is solely responsible for fulfilling campaign rewards to backers. Kickstarter is not a party to any agreement between Simply Young LLC and its backers.If the campaign does not reach its funding goal, no Kickstarter pledges are charged. The $1 reservation fee is not affected by campaign outcome and remains non-refundable.


4. Age Requirement
Reckless Recall is an adult drinking game intended for players 21 years of age and older. By making a reservation or signing up on this site, you confirm that you are 21 years of age or older.


5. Email Communications
By providing your email address, you consent to receive campaign updates, launch notifications, and related communications from Simply Young LLC. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send. We will not sell or share your email address with third parties for marketing purposes.


6. Payment Processing
All payments are processed securely by Stripe. Simply Young LLC does not store your payment information directly. Stripe's terms of service apply to all payment transactions at stripe.com/legal.


7. Intellectual Property
All content on this site including the Reckless Recall name, R★ logo, game mechanics, card designs, and brand assets are the property of Simply Young LLC. Unauthorized reproduction or use is prohibited.


8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Simply Young LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this site or participation in the campaign. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us directly, which in the case of a reservation is $1.00.


9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Dickson County, Tennessee.


10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms at any time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of this site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
